Filming Production log:

11th October

Today I have created the images I am going to use in for my magazine and poster. I have created four differing set ups in a studio environment to allow me to choose an image that best suits the poster and the magazine layouts. The theme is horror so therefore I have created a few images that replicate this genre. The beady eyes, the horror look and the mis-en-scene used created the atmosphere of horror and are conventional to the genre and the trailer I will produce. This shoot was very easy to do and therefore allowed me to play with the type of lighting and angles of shots I was going to use and I have therefore been able to pick two final images for my poster and magazine.

12th to 19th October

Today I have, using my planning, created my poster. I used Adobe Illustrator CS6 to complete the task. I have used items such as the images I created on the photo shoot as well as text I have acquired from font space and illustrator itself. I have also incorporated skills using Photoshop to edit the images used and make the text into a PNG, seamless background so they look professional on the poster. The main tasks I had to do on my poster where:

-  Import the image used (seen below)
 - Create and edit the title using Photoshop
- Place the text on the main poster page I had created before
- Add the credits to the document

30th October to 3rd November

After completing my poster I then moved onto my magazine creation. I have
used Illustrator once again to create this magazine. The same techniques I
used for my poster creation have been displayed here. I have started off my
inserting my image into the software. Then it was just a matter of building the
product around the image. I have used my plans as a viewing point however
the image did not fit how I wanted it too so I had to modify the final image to
accompany this. The layout was based on another magazine as seen below
and I have morphed my magazine through this layout of a professional
magazine. The text I have used has mainly come from font space where I
have downloaded it and then cut the background out using Photoshop to
create a professional look. The captions and extra information section have
been creating in the program from a font that was available and gives a
generic overlook of professionalism. The social media and bar codes were
added to make the magazine look real and after this stage the magazine was
created.

8th to 15th November

After completing the ancillary tasks I then moved onto filming my trailer
pieces. I have used a middle of the range film camera to do so. This filming was
entirely done through the use of my storyboard and animatic I have created
previous. I took the model and actor out to certain location over two or three
days to shoot this trailer. Differing positions and shots were created over this
period to allow me to use them in the rough copy of the trailer that I am going
to produce. This therefore has allowed me to tinker with the order of shots
and therefore make the trailer more conventional to the audience
genre.
